STORY OUTLINE
For some reason, by statutory declaration, Albert changed his occupation on his enlistment form from labourer to miner and was assigned to the Tunnelling Company.
He received a wound to the right hand whilst on duty in France. During his furlow in England he was hospitalised with a nasal obstruction and then went AWL for six days in London.
He was fined 12 days' pay. He was discharged from the AIF in June 1919.
