STORY OUTLINE
Walter Price was granted home leave from 30/09/1916 to 9/10/1916 before embarking for overseas duty from Melbourne on 22/12/1916 onboard HMAT "Persic" A34 to Devonport, England arriving 3/03/1917.
He was sent to Camiers, France, wounded in action in August 1917 and hospitalised in Birmingham, England.
After convalescence, he was returned to his unit in France where he received a gunshot wound to the left arm and was invalided to England.
After demobilisation he was sent back to Australia on 8/09/1919 from London per "Raranga" (was damaged by a torpedo from a German U-boat between New York and London the year before) and arrived on 29 October 1919.
