STORY OUTLINE
Harry Bowcock, born in Orford, England but by the beginning of the war he was a butcher in Mossman. He enlisted in Cairns on 15-6-16, aged 28. After hospitalization at Warrington he went to Etaples, France, where he was reallotted to Reg. No 2870A and joined on 19-05-17. A report "killed in Action" on 19-10-17 was corrected by 6-11- 17. From 26-02-19 to 26-08-19 he did a course of motor instruction in Warrington; and received a good report. He married Eva Dunbavand of Warrington on 7-08-19. On 19-02-64 he lodged an application for repatriation benefits.
