STORY OUTLINE
Hector James Young embarked from Sydney on 14/06/1917 per HMAT Hororata A20 and disembarked Liverpool, England on 20/09/1917.
Whilst in the 7th Training Battalion at Rolleston, England he was hospitalised for two months.
He was sent to France 25/07/1918 and was promoted to Acting Lance Corporal between November 1917 and January 1918, later transferred to 26th Battalion in France on 12/10/1918.
He embarked London on 23/03/1919 for return to Australia per HT Port Denison and disembarked 10/05/1919.
