STORY OUTLINE

Henry William Waygood was born in Maryborough but enlisted in January 1915 at Port Douglas, while working as a labourer in the district.

He embarked for Gallipoli with the 15th Battalion, arriving 13 July. By 23 July he was in hospital sick.
