STORY OUTLINE

Private George Stamp served from 1916 until 1919 in the field in France as a Machine Gunner. He must have seen a lot of the fighting. He was hospitalised a few times in England and France for such things as mumps, influenza, and scabies.

He returned to Australia 4/08/19 and was discharged 11/09/19. He tried for a pension on the grounds he couldn't work because of nerves and concussion. There was nothing in his medical notes about concussion. George Stamp died in 1962.
