STORY OUTLINE
Private William James Randle was born in England but was an Australian Citizen.
He was a wardsman somewhere in the Douglas Area but enlisted in Cairns (his will stated he was from Port Douglas).
He served on the Western Front in France/Rouen/Belgium.
He was hospitalised a few times with Trench Fever then was admitted to 47th General Hospital with a gunshot wound right thigh 20/07/18 in France.
Unfortunately he died of those wounds on 16/08/18. He is buried at Mont Huon Cemetery near Le Treport.
Mrs G Nielson of Mossman mother of his fiancee) sought confirmation of death through Senator TW Crawford (of Brie Brie) . He left everything in order with a Will and Life Insurance.
