STORY OUTLINE
James Jackson went aboard HMAT Star of Victoria A16 with his Unit at Brisbane on 30-03-1916. At Alexandria Egypt he embarked on HT Tunisia for England on 30-05-1916 and was assigned from the 2nd Australian Division Base Depot to transfer to Etaples France and taken on strength with the 26th Battalion on 2-08-1916. Three days later he was reported Missing and after a Court of Enquiry on 29-06-1917 he was then reported as Killed in Action 5- 08-1916.
