STORY-OUTLINE
Norah Coleman had a son, Frank, when she came to Douglas district in 1877. Frank eventually went to the war as Francis Coleman, Service No 120. He is not on the Shire Honour Board; at enlisting his address was Biboohra.
While in Douglas Shire, Norah married Richard Cuddy (Cudday), bearing two sons: Lewis Charles Cuddy (b 1889) who served in WWI and gained a Military Medal, however does not appear on the Shire Honour Board; and Fraser Harold George Cudday (b 1894) , who also served in the war but was killed in action, January 1917. The name Cudday does not appear on the Soldiers Who Fell list of the Shire Honour Board.
However, we have found that George Charles Sibley became step-father of Fraser Cudday and Fraser became known as George Sibley. As there is no G C Sibley in war records, we resolve that the G C Sibley on the Soldiers Who Fell list is in reality Fraser Harold George Cudday.
