STORY OUTLINE

Born in Port Douglas, Henry Wright was a labourer in Liverpool NSW when he enlisted, aged 27, in September 1915.

He served in France from June 1916 but was wounded and hospitalised on 19 July.

He returned to the Front and survived the war, though with a couple more sessions in hospital.

He returned to Australia and was discharged on 2 July 1919.
