STORY OUTLINE

Lewis Latimer Whitman was born in Port Douglas, and enlisted in Cairns on 13/07/16.

He was taken on strength with the 9th Battalion in France on 18/04/17, and had several stays in hospital, mainly on medical grounds, although he was wounded once.

On 16/01/19 he transferred to the Pay Corps.

He returned to Australia on 25/03/19, and was discharged on 26/06/19.
