STORY OUTLINE

Callaghan Walsh was a medical student in Brisbane whose father gave him permission to enlist 'after you have sat for this years exams'.

He enlisted on 12/12/1917, aged 19, and was sent to Egypt to the 5th Light Horse Regiment.

He was taken on strength on 15/09/18 at Moascar, and remained there until 4/03/19 when he embarked for Australia, arriving on 11/04/1919.

He was discharged 8/05/1919.
