STORY OUTLINE

John Henry Phimister was a cook at the 'Cedars' North Mossman, who enlisted, aged 30, on 5 January 1917.

He became a Trooper, allocated Driver, with the 11th Light Horse from September 1917.

He was admitted to hospital three times with illnesses.

Returning to Australia in August 1919, he was discharged on 29 September 1919.
